After witnessing the American people react positively to President Donald Trump’s bold plan to deport dangerous illegal immigrants, leftists were quick to look for ways to disrupt his momentum.
Right on cue, Democrats and their acolytes in the mainstream media seized on the story of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador who was recently deported after living illegally in Maryland.
Although anti-Trump pundits and politicians have described him as a father and family man, the Trump administration maintains that he was credibly identified as a dangerous gang member who warranted deportation.
Most recently, White House border czar laid out some of the evidence pointing to Abrego Garcia’s criminal ties, as the Daily Caller reported:
Homan went on to discuss his conversation with the MS-13 expert and asked whether Democrats “really believe” what they’re defending.
“I talked to an MS-13 expert today who also showed me pictures of his [Abrego Garcia’s] hand, where he says, ‘Absolutely the tattoo on one of his hands was absolutely an MS-13 gang tattoo.’ Nothing questionable about it. Two judges said he’s [an] MS-13 member. ICE says he’s [an] MS-13 member. Intelligence community says he’s [an] MS-13 member. El Salvador says he’s [an] MS-13 member.
“As far as all the people who are speaking out against this, I cannot believe for a minute there’s that many stupid people in the world. Now, AOC on the smart meter, she’s a zero. We’ll give them that. But I can’t believe these people really believe what they’re saying. They’ve got to be just pushing the narrative for political reasons. They can’t be that dumb to think that this person isn’t an MS-13 gang member and a public safety threat.”
Some Democrats have continued to claim that Abrego Garcia is not affiliated with MS-13. On Wednesday, though, the Department of Justice released new documents showing that local law enforcement had evidence as far back as 2019 supporting their allegations against the illegal migrant.
The story has sparked significant social media discussion in recent days:

In 2021, his wife filed a restraining order against him for domestic violence, alleging he punched her, scratched her, and tore off her shirt.
Honestly, if this is the Democrats’ best example of President @realDonaldTrump wrongfully deporting someone, his administration must be doing a solid job.
They should speed up the deportations.
Sen. Chris Van Hollen is complaining that El Salvador denied his request to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Yes, it turns out that American lawmakers have no power to demand a meeting with a foreign citizen in a foreign country. Imagine! pic.twitter.com/ldCVsO0WWd

NEW: @FoxNews has obtained the written domestic violence allegations from Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s wife in 2021, in which she alleges he is a repeat wife beater & writes “At this point, I am afraid to be close to him. I have multiple photos/videos of how violent he can be and all the bruises he bas left me.”
In her own handwriting, she alleges that Abrego Garcia punched and scratched her on her eye, leaving her bleeding after throwing her laptop on the floor. She writes that on another day, he got angry again, started yelling, and ripped her shirt and shorts off, then grabbed her arm, leaving marks.
She also writes that in two times in 2020, he hit her.
“In November 2020, he hit me with his work boot”.
“In August 2020, hit me in the eye leaving a purple eye.”
The New York Post provided additional context to the story:
Earlier Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security revealed that Abrego Garcia was previously accused of physically abusing his wife, a US citizen who has been fiercely advocating for his release, in an effort to rebut claims by “the media” that he was an “upstanding ‘Maryland Man.’”
“This MS-13 gang member is not a sympathetic figure,” DHS said.
Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, applied for a protective order against her husband in 2021, saying he punched, scratched, grabbed and bruised her, according to court documents.
Vasquez Sura told The Post Wednesday that when she asked for protection from Abrego Garcia in 2021, she was “acting out of caution after a disagreement with Kilmar … in case things escalated” after she survived domestic abuse “in a previous relationship.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also had some words for those seeking to turn Abrego Garcia into a hero:
