American Woman Living In Germany Faces Prison Time For Allegedly Fatally Stabbing Migrant Who Groped Her

An American woman who lives in Germany faces up to 10 years in prison for allegedly fatally stabbing an African migrant who groped her at a train station.

“The woman, 20, was standing on an escalator at Kaiserslautern train station, in the southwestern state of Rhineland-Palatinate, when the 64-year-old man grabbed her backside on June 29,” Daily Mail reports.

After the migrant grabbed her buttocks, she reportedly pulled out a knife and ended up stabbing him in the heart during the confrontation.

“According to the results of the investigations, the stabbing was preceded by the fact that the 64-year-old sexually harassed the 20-year-old by grabbing her buttocks, an exchange of words, and that the 20-year-old opened a folding knife she was carrying with her, so that she made stabbing movements in the direction of the 64-year-old,” the prosecutor’s office said, according to NBC News.

Per NBC News:

The woman followed the man, who grabbed the arm she was using to wield the knife, the prosecutor’s office said. She was able to free her arm and stabbed him once in the chest. The man died “within a few seconds,” it said.

The prosecutor’s office did not identify either person.

The American woman said she acted in self-defense and did not aim for the man’s heart, the prosecutor’s office said.

The prosecutor’s office charged the woman with bodily injury resulting in death, agreeing with the notion that she did not purposely aim for the man’s heart.

“The accusation of bodily injury resulting in death requires intent only with regard to the bodily injury and (only) negligence with regard to the consequence of death,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The prosecutor’s office brought the charge against the woman to Kaiserslautern Regional Court, which will decide how to proceed.

“Germany has arrested an American citizen for stabbing an African migrant who sexually assaulted her. The 20-year old woman is facing 10 years in prison. The State Department declined to say whether it is doing anything to help her,” The Daily Wire investigative reporter Luke Rosiak said.

The American, who lives in Kaiserslautern, told investigators she wanted to keep the man at a distance. When he finally backed away, the woman followed.

The Eritrean man grabbed her arm holding the knife and as the woman tried to free herself, she stabbed him in the heart ‘during the same movement’, according to prosecutors. He died within seconds.

The woman has been charged with causing bodily harm resulting in death and could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison at youth court.

She claimed that she did not intentionally aim for the man’s heart and argued that she acted in self defence to keep him at a distance.

‘The public prosecutor’s office does not believe that the stabbing was justified by self-defence,’ a spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office told German tabloid Bild.
