Ukraine's military has regained full access to Starlink satellite communications for drones and other fast-moving equipment after restrictions disrupted operations on the battlefield for more than a week, Ukrainian officials said.

Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara said monitoring systems confirmed stable connections for equipment traveling faster than 250 mph. 

The speed restrictions affected Starshield, SpaceX's military-grade satellite communications service, which Ukraine relies on for drone missions, military logistics and communications near the front lines.

Khmara cited direct negotiations and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's diplomatic efforts with Washington as instrumental in restoring access.
 

Federal prosecutors in Boston on Wednesday charged six people with running an alleged decade-long sham-marriage ring, with illegal immigrants purportedly paying between $38,000 to $40,000 per wedding to gain legal status.

Jennifer Gonzalez, 43, of Fall River, Mass., allegedly ran the business, collecting money from illegal immigrants to arrange sham marriages so they could obtain immigration status, the U.S. District Attorney's Office for Massachusetts announced this week. More than $1 billion in Georgia pandemic unemployment claims had not been reviewed to verify eligibility as of June 30, 2025, and it's not known if the claims remain unverified.

The Justice Department announced Friday that a foreign national has been charged with voting illegally in the state of Nevada.

First Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Nevada Sigal Chattah said Jullie Ann Sumalinog Moore illegally voted in the 2024 election. The department did not indicate what country Moore is originally from.

Medical laboratory operator Quest Diagnostics said in an update Friday that it discovered a cyber breach this week impacting one of its systems and potentially compromising some records for patients. 

The company, which first reported the breach on Thursday, said it is still investigating the incident but noted that it involves "unauthorized access to our Quanum Lab Services Manager system, which certain clients use to place test orders, receive and look-up results."

The world's richest man, Elon Musk, reportedly donated and invested approximately $1 billion into Skydance, sources familiar with the matter told multiple news outlets on Thursday.
