U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced charges against three individuals allegedly responsible for “violent destruction of Tesla properties.”

“All three defendants will face the full force of the law for using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations,” the Department of Justice stated in a press release.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Bondi said.

“Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars,” she added.

The defendants are accused of using high-powered weapons and explosives to destroy property from the Elon Musk-owned car company.

One allegedly carried a suppressed AR-15 rifle while lobbing eight Molotov cocktails at an Oregon Tesla dealership, while another is accused of trying to light Tesla cars on fire with the same explosives in Loveland, Colorado.

The third allegedly vandalized charging stations for the electric cars with profane anti-Trump rhetoric, then torched them with Molotov cocktails, according to the US Department of Justice.

Each face a minimum of five years in prison if convicted, but the charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years.

Bondi did not name any of the suspects or provide their specific charges.

The charges carry a minimum penalty of five years in prison with a maximum of 20 years jail time, the Justice Department said.

Earlier this week, Bondi labeled the vandalism as “domestic terrorism” and warned perpetrators to “watch out.” Trump said Tuesday that he thinks the vandalization of Teslas could be considered political terrorism and hinted last week he would be open to labeling the political violence at Tesla dealerships as domestic terrorism.

The White House has repeatedly backed Musk and Tesla amid the protests. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick urged people to buy Tesla stock, and Trump had a fleet of Tesla vehicles delivered to the White House last week in a show of support.
