According to reports, Donald Trump will hold a fundraiser with his vice president at the Republican National Convention.

“Trump 47 announces a fundraiser with President Trump and the ‘Nominee for Vice President’ on July 18th, at the RNC,” Jack Posobiec said.

The alleged flyer says the fundraiser will take place before Trump formally accepts the presidential nomination at the convention.

“Trump announced the first fundraiser with his VP nominee on July 18,” Sean Spicer said.

Will July 18th be the day President Trump finally reveals his running mate?

Some of the names rumored to be the finalists include:

  • Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH)
  • North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum
  • Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)
  • Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
  • Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY)
  • Former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson

    The Republican National Convention will take place July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    There’s a good chance we won’t find out until the Republican Party is in Milwaukee for the 2024 Republican National Convention.

    But that’s not when, and how, the rounding out of the ticket typically happens. At least not in recent history.

    For the last nearly four decades, each party’s presidential ticket, Republican and Democrat, has been a done deal by the time the political conventions start. There are no more surprises; no more guessing games.

    “There’s kind of different reasons for that,” said Julia Azari, Professor of Political Science at Marquette University.

    The ticket is sealed and ready to be united around. But not in 2024.

    “It’s really unusual to do this,” said Mordecai Lee, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Professor Emeritus.

    Trump, a candidate known for his theatrics and “not like the rest of them” attitude, aims to stray from what has become the norm.
