Flooding Devastates Ellen DeGeneres’ Multi-Million-Pound UK Property After Allegedly Leaving United States Due To Trump Winning Presidency

Ellen DeGeneres, who moved to England with Portia De Rossi allegedly due to the election of President Trump, witnessed a flood devastate the multi-million pound property recently purchased by the couple.

According to the Daily Mail, torrential rain caused flooding just days after they moved in.

The couple purchased the extravagant home in the Cotswolds, roughly two hours outside London.

Daily Mail reports:

Dramatic images show the couple’s 43-acre property in the Cotswolds has become swamped in a torrent of flood water following the devastating impact of Storm Bert.

The couple were left virtually marooned just days after moving into their new home after a tributary of the River Thames which runs beside the property broke its banks.

It came after the area was battered by days of torrential rain and winds of up to 80mph.

Roads surrounding the hideaway have been left impassable after being deluged in five feet of water – leaving locals trapped in their homes.

One stricken resident who lives near the couple said: ‘The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years.’

The dramatic scenes must seem a far cry from the life the couple left behind in sunny California.

“Locals say everything is under 5 feet of water. The house is a six bedroom, four bathroom farmhouse converted into a modern luxury home. The incident happened after DeGeneres moved to Great Britain, saying she is ‘never coming back’ to the US after Trump’s election win, according to The Wrap,” Collin Rugg wrote.

From the New York Post:

The flooding comes after DeGeneres and de Rossi reportedly relocated to England in the wake of Trump’s presidential election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Sources previously told the Wrap that DeGeneres and de Rossi packed up and moved to the UK and are gearing up to put their Montecito, Calif., mansion on the market to start afresh abroad.

The duo, who wed in 2008, will likely “never” return to the US on a permanent basis, one source claimed.

Separate insiders told TMZ that the duo decided to “get the h*** out” of the country immediately following the president-elect’s victory, which left them feeling “very disillusioned.”

During election season, DeGeneres was vocal about her support for Harris, and reportedly donated $3,300 to her campaign.
