Former Trump Prosecutor Faces Lawsuit, Accused Of Missing Child Support Payments

Nathan Wade, the former special prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case, faces a lawsuit from his estranged wife.

In a new divorce filing, Jocelyn Wade accused her former husband of missing child support payments and neglecting to cover her medical expenses.

“Defendant urgently requires medical procedures, namely an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ultrasound, due to severe physical symptoms she has been enduring,” the filing in the Superior Court of Cobb County read, according to the New York Post.

From the New York Post:

The already-thin ex-wife’s condition is worsening, leaving her with fears she might need “emergency intervention.”

The scathing accusations against Wade come just weeks after he resigned as the lead prosecutor on the Georgia election interference case against Trump.

Trump’s co-defendants accused Wade of carrying on an affair with Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis when she hired him as a team member, and then allegedly misused state and federal funds for personal reasons.

Wade — who was divorced in January — denied getting together with Willis until after he was brought on to the fraud case.

According to his ex-wife, Wade has refused to make good on the out-of-court divorce agreement he struck in order to avoid testifying in court about his affair with Willis.

Jocelyn Wade spent what money she had for surgery on their children after Nathan Wade suddenly cut his son and daughter off and told them to “get the money from your mother” the filing states.

“Nathan and Joycelyn Wade were married on June 21, 1997, and separated on Aug. 15, 2021, with Nathan filing for divorce on Nov. 2, 2021, one day after being hired by Fulton County,” FOX 5 Atlanta noted.

FOX 5 Atlanta reports:

Moreover, Nathan Wade is accused of discontinuing financial support for their children. He reportedly informed their daughter, currently in college aspiring to attend medical school, that he would no longer cover her rent and living expenses. He told his daughter this on the day that her rent was due, according to the filing. Similarly, Wade reneged on his commitment to finance their daughter's MCAT expenses. Their son, pursuing a professional soccer career in Europe, was also informed by Wade to seek financial support from his mother. Despite the fact that Nathan Wade promised to cover his son's expenses so that he could obtain a visa.

Joycelyn Wade claims that Nathan's abrupt termination of support has left her in dire financial straits, with a monthly income of less than $1,000, since she is now providing for their children. Additionally, Nathan Wade reportedly owes $15,000 to Joycelyn Wade's financial expert, with his failure to provide the owed amount exacerbating the financial strain.

On March 16, Nathan Wade canceled an interview with NBC's “Meet the Press” on March 16, citing a “family emergency.” The show announced the change in schedule, highlighting Wade's last-minute cancelation. It is unknown what that family emergency may have been.
