House Republican Introduces Articles Of Impeachment Against Kamala Harris

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has introduced articles of impeachment against Kamala Harris.

“GOP Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) just introduced articles of impeachment against VP Kamala Harris for high crimes and misdemeanors,” POLITICO’s Olivia Beavers said.

“VP Harris betrayed the trust of the American people, which is one of the reasons I introduced articles to impeach her today,” Ogles said.

Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment Tuesday against Vice President Kamala Harris, citing high crimes and misdemeanors.

Ogles explained to the Daily Caller that he believes Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president” and said “immediate action must be taken.”

“Time and again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached. Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America,” Ogles told the Daily Caller after introducing the articles.

“Any House Republicans supporting this nonsense are showing the American people that they are not serious legislators.  It’s also becoming more and more apparent that Congressional Republicans are afraid of @VP. They should be,” Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said.

“No, the American people are and should be afraid of Kamala Harris. As the Border Czar, she has allowed hundreds of thousands of deaths from drug overdoses, the rape of thousands of innocent women and children, and murder in the streets,” Ogles responded.

“Kamala Harris knowingly opened the border. Kamala Harris knowingly denied Biden’s cognitive decline. Kamala Harris has turned her back on our allies. We cannot sit back and let the DNC-controlled media rewrite her record. The time to act is now,” Ogles said.

The former article on public trust accused Harris of having “knowingly misled the people of the United States and the Congress of the United States, principally to obfuscate the physical and cognitive well-being of the President of the United States, Joe Biden.”

It comes as a growing number of Republican lawmakers question what Harris knew and when about Biden’s mental state after even allies observed that it had worsened over the course of the 81-year-old’s White House term.

The latter article is targeted at Harris’s handling of the crisis at the southern border over her role as the Biden administration’s “border czar.” She was tasked early on in the administration with addressing the root causes of mass migration from Central and South America.

It’s now the cornerstone of GOP-led attacks against the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, as states across the country continue to struggle with the migrant crisis, though the number of border crossings has somewhat slowed in recent months compared to the record numbers seen last year.
