House Republican Requests Justice Department Investigation Into NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi requesting an investigation into New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani to determine if he should lose his citizenship and be deported.

“Zohran ‘little muhammad’ Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York. He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings,” Ogles said.

Per Independent:

The 33-year-old democratic socialist declared victory in the primary after former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo conceded the race on Tuesday evening.

The New York Young Republican Club reacted to the primary results with a “call to action” on X.

“The radical Zohran Mamdani cannot be allowed to destroy our beloved city of New York,” the group wrote.

The group urged the president to invoke the Red Scare-era Communist Control Act to yank Mamdani’s citizenship and “promptly deport him.”

The club called on White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and Trump border czar Tom Homan to take action.

“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line. Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor. We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous,” President Trump said on Truth Social.

“He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him. Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!” he added.

Newsweek reports:

The outcome, one of the first major Democratic primaries since President Donald Trump returned to office, is being considered as a barometer for the party’s potential recalibration nationally, at a time when it remains ideologically divided about its future.

The White House has framed the upset victory by Mamdani, who could become New York City’s first Muslim and Indian American mayor, as evidence of uncontrolled migration, aligning with the White House’s broader strategy of keeping border policy at the center of the national conversation.

Mamdani won the Democratic Party primary for November’s New York mayoral elections with 43.5 percent of the vote against 36.4 percent for Andrew Cuomo, his closest challenger, according to The Associated Press.
