It’s official: articles of impeachment have been filed against corrupt, Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg.
Over the weekend, Judge Boasberg issued a ruling to block President Trump from deporting hundreds of violent criminal gangbangers from the United States to El Salvador.
The White House promptly ignored that order, since the flight was already in international airspace — outside of Judge Boasberg’s jurisdiction.
Now, Republican Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas has formally filed articles of impeachment against the rogue, activist judge.
In his filing, Rep. Gill claims that Judge Boasberg is “guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Per Axios:
Just hours after President Trump called for the impeachment of a federal judge who ruled against his deportation of hundreds of Venezuelans over the weekend, House Republicans introduced a measure to do just that.
Why it matters: GOP lawmakers have unleashed an unprecedented flood of long-shot impeachment articles aimed at federal judges who are standing in the way of the president’s agenda.
James Boasberg, chief judge of the D.C. District Court, is at least the fifth federal judge who is facing a House GOP impeachment attempt after issuing a ruling unfavorable to the administration. Trump’s comments on Tuesday targeting Boasburg spurred a rare public rebuke from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. Driving the news: Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) said Tuesday he is introducing articles of impeachment against Boasberg, arguing he “overstepped his authority, compromised the impartiality of the judiciary, and created a constitutional crisis.”
Boasberg had ordered flights deporting roughly 250 alleged Venezuelan gang members halted Saturday as he ruled on the constitutionality of Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1789, a war measure rarely invoked in peacetime. The administration said it defied Boasberg’s order because the flights were already over international waters, Axios’ Marc Caputo reported.
Fox News has more details:
A House GOP lawmaker has filed impeachment articles against the federal judge who ordered the Trump administration to stop deportation flights being conducted under the Alien Enemies Act.
“For the past several weeks, we’ve seen several rogue activist judges try to impede the president from exercising, not only the mandate voters gave him, but his democratic and constitutional authority to keep the American people safe,” Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital. “This is another example of a rogue judge overstepping his…authority.”
Gill’s resolution, first obtained by Fox News Digital, accused U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg of abusing his power in levying an emergency pause on the Trump administration’s plans to deport illegal immigrants under a wartime authority first issued in 1798, which President Donald Trump recently invoked to get members of the criminal Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua out of the U.S.
“Chief Judge Boasberg required President Trump to turn around planes midair that had aliens associated with Tren De Aragua, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization,” the resolution said. “This conduct jeopardizes the safety of the nation, represents an abuse of judicial power, and is detrimental to the orderly functioning of the judiciary. Using the powers of his office, Chief Judge Boasberg has attempted to seize power from the Executive Branch and interfere with the will of the American people.”
In a brief interview with Fox News Digital shortly before filing his resolution, Gill suggested he wanted the matter to go through the House in traditional form – which would first put the resolution in front of the House Judiciary Committee, where Gill is a member.
“I’ll be talking to [Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio] about it,” Gill said. “I think the best way to do this…is to go through the judiciary committee, which is where impeachment of judges runs through. I think the more we can stick with that plan, the better.”
