It took former Vice President Kamala Harris days to even address the destruction brought onto her state by far-left rioters.
When she finally did release a statement, it only further stoked division as law enforcement officers and immigration officials face constant threats while trying to do their jobs in Los Angeles.
Dutifully placing all the onus on the Trump administration, Harris essentially absolved those responsible for all the chaos.
As Breitbart reported:
“Los Angeles is my home,” Harris said in a statement posted to X. “And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.”
Harris’s statement comes a day after Trump issued a presidential memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to quell the violence of the riots.
ADVERTISEMENTHarris continued to criticize the Trump administration, claiming that the administration’s “actions are not about public safety,” but about “stoking fear.”
“Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process,” Harris continued. “Protest is a powerful tool — essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.”
Of course, she wasn’t alone in her attempt to gaslight Californians into believing the rioters aren’t actually responsible for the riots:

Here’s a full transcript of the post above:
The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers. That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.
LA authorities are able to access law enforcement assistance at a moment’s notice. We are in close coordination with the city and county, and there is currently no unmet need.
The Guard has been admirably serving LA throughout recovery.
This is the wrong mission and will erode public trust.
President Donald Trump issued a direct response to both the LA mayor and California governor:
“If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!” –President Donald J. Here’s the latest riot coverage, per Fox News:
The Los Angeles Police Department declared an “unlawful assembly” Sunday night as protesters failed to disperse in the downtown area.
“Agitators have splintered into and through out the Downtown Area,” the LAPD’s Central Division wrote on X. “Residents, businesses and visitors to the Downtown Area should be alert and report any criminal activity. Officers are responding to several different locations to disperse crowds.”
