Man Admits To CRUCIFYING Pastor In Plot To K*ll 14 Christian Leaders

A man accused of killing an Arizona pastor admitted on camera that he was responsible for the brutal murder.

“New River pastor Bill Schonemann was found dead inside his home north of Phoenix on April 28,”ย FOX 10 Phoenixย reports.

Authorities identified Adam Sheafe, 51, as the murderer.

In an interview, Sheafe admitted to crucifying the 76-year-old pastor.

He said it was part of a plot to kill 14 Christian leaders across 10 states.

“Adam Sheafe has confessed to killing Arizona pastor Bill Schonemann, and crucifying him after. He describes the lengths he went to carry this out, and I press him on how horrific this is,” AZFamilyย reporter Briana Whitney said.

“His reason? He believes anyone who says Jesus is the son of God deserves to die. But this was part of a much bigger plan,” she added.

Per AZFamily:

Before Schonemannโ€™s murder, who was known as โ€œPastor Billโ€ at New River Bible Chapel, Sheafe told Whitney that he planned to kill a priest in Phoenix, the first of 14 planned โ€œexecutionsโ€ around the country.

โ€œStarting in Arizona, where I was born,โ€ Sheafe said. โ€œWhere it starts is where it ends, like the Garden of Eden.โ€

He said he arrived in Phoenix and followed a priest home after services on Easter Sunday, April 20.

โ€œAnd when he pulled into his driveway, the two women came into the garage,โ€ he told Whitney. โ€œIโ€™m not interested in executing anyone of than the pastors or the shepherds leading the flock astray.โ€

Sheafe said he then targeted and killed Schonemann before traveling to Sedona, where he planned to kill two others. But he was arrested two days after Schonemann was found dead following a manhunt regarding recent burglaries.

Had he not been caught, Sheafe said he planned to kill others.

โ€œFrom there, it was Las Vegas, Nevada, Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Billings, Montana, Detroit, Michigan, New York, New York, Charlotte, North Carolina, Mobile, Alabama, Beaumont, Texas and El Paso, Texas,โ€ he explained. โ€œSo, four of them were going to get hit in Arizona.โ€

“Adam Sheafe describes his calculated plan to kill 14 pastors all over the country, starting with 4 in Arizona. He was very close to killing one in Phoenix and another two in Sedona after he killed Pastor Bill. He went as far having thorn crowns ready for their crucifixions,” Whitney continued.

“An obsession with the Old Testament and to ‘rid the earth of evil.’ He claims he’s following the first commandment, and in the face of me telling him this is insane, he has a response ready. Sheafe wants the death penalty as soon as possible,” Whitney added.

FOX 10 Phoenix reports:

On June 24, Sheafe, 51, admitted at the Coconino County Jail that he killed the pastor, whose body was found on April 28. Sheafe is in Coconino County being held on charges unrelated to Pastor Bill’s death.

Sheafe has not been charged in Pastor Bill’s death, but the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is working on it with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

He showed no remorse or regret after being led into the room in shackles.

When asked if he killed Schonemann, he replied, “Yes.”

He justified his actions with religion, citing his belief that Christian pastors are leading people onto a false path by following Jesus. He said Pastor Bill was the first in a plot he called “Operation First Commandment.”

He was aiming to “crucify” 14 pastors across the country, and he admitted that he was about to kill two priests at the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona before he was arrested by police.

“The day I was going to execute that priest, I tried getting into the back of his car. There was like a little lady on a bike that got in my way, and I was just going to get in the back seat and tell him to drive to his house,” Sheafe said.

He was asked if he was ever victimized by anyone in the Christian faith. He said no, that his family is Christian, and that he had a good childhood.

He denied being mentally unwell. He also said he was not sorry for what he says he did.

“Will I apologize for my actions? Absolutely not,” he said.

Sheafe said that he had a history of drug use, but he didnโ€™t believe that impacted his mental state.

He says he’s OK with being executed.

When asked if he regretted anything, he said, “nothing.”

Sheafe reportedly placed a crown of thorns on Schonemann’s head after he was killed.

“In the desert. There’s, you know, trees that, you know, have thorns, and so I cut it, and I made the crown of thorns,” he said.
