Secretary of State Marco Rubio just did it again!
He announced today that the government agency that is (was) the most riddled with corruption and fraud has been completely shut down.
I’m talking about USAID, of course.
Check it out:
BREAKING: USAID has OFFICIALLY ceased operations, Secretary Rubio announces
This was a TOP priority of @ElonMusk while he was at DOGE, even calling it a “CRIMINAL organization.”

Secretary Rubio’s announcement follows the months-long battle to shut down USAID.
As head of DOGE, Elon Musk had put shutting down USAID at the top of his goals.
Earlier this year, Marco Rubio took over the agency to get around a rogue judge’s ruling that ordered the Trump administration to pay out billions of dollars in foreign aid.
And now, it’s finally done.
The State Department has totally absorbed the agency, which basically means they will be taking over any foreign assistance programs that President Trump wants to continue.
The Hill shared some details of the programs that will continue:
Of the $120 billion in contracts that were in effect at the beginning of January, about $69 billion in programming was kept, according to an analysis by The New York Times.
These include 580 humanitarian aid programs, 167 health programs, 65 economic development programs and 79 other initiatives, according to the Times.
Rubio on Tuesday said USAID would “officially cease to implement foreign assistance,” with the State Department taking over distribution to ensure that programs “align with administration policies.” Rubio also promised assistance will be delivered with “more accountability, strategy, and efficiency.”
Fox News shared Rubio’s direct statement on USAID’s complete closure:
Rubio made the announcement in a Tuesday statement, saying USAID had for decades failed to ensure the programs it funded actually supported America’s interests. The State Department will take over foreign assistance programs beginning July 1, he said.
ADVERTISEMENT“Beyond creating a globe-spanning NGO industrial complex at taxpayer expense, USAID has little to show since the end of the Cold War. Development objectives have rarely been met, instability has often worsened, and anti-American sentiment has only grown,” Rubio wrote.
“This era of government-sanctioned inefficiency has officially come to an end. Under the Trump Administration, we will finally have a foreign funding mission in America that prioritizes our national interests. As of July 1st, USAID will officially cease to implement foreign assistance. Foreign assistance programs that align with administration policies—and which advance American interests—will be administered by the State Department, where they will be delivered with more accountability, strategy, and efficiency,” he continued.
Needless to say, Democrats and the establishment media were furious at Rubio’s announcement.
CNN is already warning about tens of millions of deaths that will come from this!
Watch their reaction right here:
ABSURD: CNN reports that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced the OFFICIAL dismantling of USAID.
Their first reaction?

Make no mistake: this is a huge victory, and CNN’s fuming is a testament to that.
Marco Rubio continues to prove himself as one of President Trump’s greatest cabinet picks.
His evolution from a warmongering Trump opponent to one of the most reliable, America-first members of President Trump’s administration has truly been astounding to watch.
Just recently, RFK Jr. praised Rubio’s transformation in an interview with Tucker Carlson:
RFK Jr. on Marco Rubio: I never was very, let’s say approving of Marco, because he was kind of a neocon war hawk.
“But now he’s had this incredible transformation.”
