Over 500,000 Haitians Face Deportation After Trump Administration Terminates Legal Protections

The Trump administration took a major step in mass deportations by terminating legal protections for hundreds of thousands of Haitians.

The administration will end Haiti’s Temporary Protected Status designation, which applies to approximately 500,000 Haitians living in the United States.

“DHS has announced it is terminating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than half a million Haitians in the U.S., arguing that conditions in Haiti have improved enough for them to return home, and allowing the Haitians to remain is contrary to the national interest of the U.S.,” Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin said.

“TPS for these Haitians will expire on 8/3/2025 and the termination will take effect on 9/2/2025, effectively giving the Haitians a little more than 2 months to leave the country or find another form of relief or legal status,” he added.

“This decision restores integrity in our immigration system and ensures that Temporary Protective Status is actually temporary,” a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson said.

“The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough that it is safe for Haitian citizens to return home. We encourage these individuals to take advantage of the Department’s resources in returning to Haiti, which can be arranged through the CBP Home app. Haitian nationals may pursue lawful status through other immigration benefit requests, if eligible,” the spokesperson added.

It is coming three months after the Trump administration revoked legal protections for thousands of Haitians who arrived legally in the country under a humanitarian parole program, and it is part of part of a series of measures implemented to curb immigration.

Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a federal judge’s order preventing the administration from revoking the parole program.

TPS allows people already in the United States to stay and work legally if their homelands are deemed unsafe. Immigrants from 17 countries, including Haiti, Afghanistan, Sudan and Lebanon, were receiving those protections before President Donald Trump took office for his second term in January.

Some Haitian TPS holders have been in the United States for over a decade.

However, DHS said conditions in Haiti no longer meet the requirements for TPS.

The Miami Herald described some of the current conditions in the Caribbean nation.

It is unclear how DHS, in consultation with the State Department, reached such a conclusion. Currently the State Department warns Americans not to travel to Haiti “due to kidnapping, crime, civil unrest and limited health care.” This week, the agency also urged U.S. citizens to “depart Haiti as soon as possible” or “be prepared to shelter in place for an extended time period.”

And just on Thursday, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau questioned the lack of action at the Organization of American States to address the crisis in Haiti.

“Armed gangs control the streets and ports of the capital city, and public order there has all but collapsed,” he said. “While Haiti descends into chaos, the unfolding humanitarian, security and governance crisis reverberates across the region.”

The Miami Herald reached out to the State Department, asking the agency to explain its recommendations.

Friday’s decision, while fulfilling a campaign promise from the president, puts more than a half-million Haitians at risk of being deported back to a gang-ridden country that hasn’t seen an election in nine years and where schools, hospitals and private homes regularly go up in flames.

Now They’re Calling It The “Lesbian Anthem”….and I Can’t Stop Watching!

Donald Trump is now responsible, in a way, for creating the so-called “Lesbian Anthem”.

Yes, really.

And that’s not good for those hard-core conservatives who already think he’s too “soft” on LBGT.

Writing and singing the “Lesbian Anthem” is not going to help his cause.

But first I have to explain how we even got here, because it’s pretty incredible HOW we got here, and HOW FAST we got here.

So two weeks ago, things were fine in Ohio, life as usual.

I mean, look….it’s no Iowa but it was fine for Ohio, normal life. 😉

Then the Biden/Harris Regime airlifted 20,000 Haitians to Springfield, Ohio.  TWENTY.  THOUSAND.

And yes, that is actually, objectively true, here’s the Fox News article from just three days ago confirming:

Then those said Haitians began doing what Haitians do, which is, well….eating dogs, cats, ducks, geese and in one case a pig.

Killing, skinning and eating them.

Often out in the street.

Often family pets.

Sick stuff.

Then that news started going viral.

Then President Trump brought it up in the debate.

Then ABC News tried to “Fact-Check” him and claim it wasn’t true.

The only problem with that is WE “Fact-Checked” ABC News and proved it’s 100% true many times over:

So you’d think that would be the end of it, right?

It would have been, except for TikTok.

Someone turned “They’re Eating the Cats” into a song featuring Trump’s voice from the debate and Trump dancing:

And….it’s actually kinda catchy!

I’ve had it playing on repeat.

It’s absolutely gone viral with one person suggesting if we ever wanted to move on from Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” this song could be a good replacement:

And then it went viral on TikTok as a dance competition.

Everyone doing their dance moves to this song…

So how do we get to the “Lesbian Anthem”?

Well, that’s where it gets a little “R Rated”….

Collin Rugg reports the name comes from the “Eating cat” lyric of the song (use your imagination):

NEW: The Haitian pet story is spreading throughout TikTok as creators are dancing to the new ‘They’re Eating the Cats Remix.’

The creators are dancing to a remix that was made from Trump’s comments during the debate.

Some users say the song is the new “Lesbian Anthem” due to the “eating cat” comment.

The story of Haitians allegedly eating pets in Springfield, Ohio has widely been shared throughout X but it’s now making its way to platforms like TikTok.

When you overlay the song over President Trump’s famous dance moves, it does seem to fit quite nicely:
