President Trump Declares April 2nd To Be “Liberation Day For America” — Here’s What That Means

President Trump just posted that April 2nd will be “Liberation Day” for America….

I love the sound of that!

April 2nd is Liberation Day for America, because we will start taking back some of the vast wealth that has been taken from us due to the many weak, incompetent, and perhaps even dishonest politicians who have represented us in the past!

Kyle Becker, who is an excellent reporter, I think is being a bit coy and perhaps engagement farming by asking “What could Trump mean by this?”

I’m pretty sure I know….

After a few months of dancing around tariffs going on and off with Mexico, Canada and others, President Trump has made clear that the full scale, permanent, reciprocal tariffs are going to be fully and permanently implemented on April 2nd.

Why April 2nd?

Because he has joking but I think also seriously said he doesn’t want to do it on April Fools Day lest people think he’s not serious.

Kind of like how no hotels or office buildings ever have an official 13th Floor — even though we all know the 14th Floor is the 13th Floor, right?

So that’s exactly what he means, and it’s really incredible.

This is not just lip-service — President Trump is returning RICHNESS and PROSPERITY to America!

Instead of taxing Americans and subsidizing the rest of the world, President Trump is putting things rightside up again.

We will get our revenue from the EXTERNAL Revenue Service, and perhaps — just perhaps!! — we can one day soon shut down the IRS for good!

That’s not wishful thinking from me, that comes direct from President Trump who has said that very goal many times on many occasions, and also from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick:

President Trump's Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick just dropped a huge bombshell while speaking with Jesse Waters of Fox News.

And, I do not mean that lightly.

Lutnick confirmed that President Trump's "goal is to abolish the Internal Revenue Service and let all the outsiders pay."

He expanded on that idea, explaining that President Trump plans to replace the IRS with the ERS -- External Revenue System -- which would be funded through tariffs from competing foreign nations.

This is huge...

One of President Trump’s objectives over the next four years is to have US revenues from tariffs become so massive that the  Internal Revenue Service is no longer needed, his commerce secretary revealed Wednesday.

 “His goal is to abolish the Internal Revenue Service and let all the outsiders pay,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

The former CEO of Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald expanded a day later on his belief that Trump’s sweeping tariff plan will be a boon for the US economy.

“As the president said, reciprocal tariffs, either you bring yours down or we’re going to bring ours up. If we go to their level, it will earn us $700 billion a year to be equal to everybody else,” Lutnick said Thursday, during an appearance on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom.”

“And there goes our deficit. And interest rates come smashing down, and the whole economy explodes higher.”

Trump, 78, announced ahead of his inauguration last month that he plans to create an external revenue office tasked with collecting all foreign-sourced revenue, such as income from tariffs.

“For far too long, we have relied on taxing our Great People using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS),” the president wrote in a Jan. 14 Truth Social post. “Through soft and pathetically weak Trade agreements, the American Economy has delivered growth and prosperity to the World, while taxing ourselves.”

Lutnicks' comments come amid mass firings at the IRS.

Driving the news: Lutnick said on "Jesse Watters Primetime" that Elon Musk, in his capacity as a senior White House adviser leading DOGE, was "going to cut" $1 trillion "and then we're going to get rid of all these tax scams that hammer against America, and we're going to raise a trillion dollars of revenue."

  • Fox News host Jesse Watters asked Lutnick if he'd give the savings from DOGE cuts back to the American people.
  • "Think about it, Donald Trump announces the External Revenue Service, and his goal is very simple ... his goal is to abolish the Internal Revenue Service and let all the outsiders pay," Lutnick replied.

    • Zoom out: While the reported mass firings were not discussed during the interview, an official with a Kansas City, Mo., union that represents IRS workers in the area said she had been notified on Wednesday about the layoffs, which are part of a DOGE-led drive to slash federal workforce numbers.

    Something tells me you might want to hold off on filing those tax returns...
