President Trump Invites Comedian Theo Von To Qatar To Perform For Troops

President Trump invited comedian Theo Von to do stand-up at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Von was invited to perform stand-up before President Trump took the stage to address troops.

The comedian did a 23-minute set and had the troops laughing throughout it.

One joke that was well received when he started was, “I didn’t know I was going to be here either, promise you this is definitely court ordered.”

Comedian and podcaster Theo Von surprised American troops at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Thursday with a comedy set to warm up for President Donald Trump’s appearance.

The troops applauded his arrival as he took the stage with a large ‘Peace through Strength’ sign behind him.

‘I feel like I’m guilty of something,’ he joked. ‘I didn’t know I was going to be here either, promise you this is definitely court ordered.’

He explained that Trump team called and asked him to perform for the troops ahead of the president’s speech which surprised him.

‘Yeah, if you’re hiring me to over there and help with peace, than things are not good,’ he joked. ‘I’m on TMZ right now having a bar fight in Nashville so I think you guys caught me on a tough week for peace, man.’

The troops laughed and applauded wildly, as TMZ published video Wednesday of Von grabbing a man by the throat and pushing him away from him after a confrontation.

‘I was in New York when I got the call, people are so mean in New York man I said hello to a guy, he said, ‘no,’ he added.

Von said he did not know who the United States was fighting in Qatar, but joked ‘I realized it’s pretty much dehydration, that’s the number one enemy.’

When President Donald Trump addressed U.S. and Qatari troops at a military base in Qatar on Thursday, he assured the rank and file that “we don’t care if you’re politically correct.”

Anyone needing proof of that could have watched comedian Theo Von’s routine just a little earlier. Wearing a black T-shirt and backward baseball cap, the podcast host regaled the uniformed troops with jokes about drugs, developmental disabilities, homosexuality and their Qatari hosts.

He talked about snorting cocaine off a baby’s back but said it was “a mixed baby” so the white powder was visible on the baby’s skin.

Von acted out various disabilities, including Down syndrome, and he insulted the U.S. Navy as “gay.” He also had a punchline about terrorism attacks, asking, “Where do you think the next 9/11 should happen?”

He joked about the lack of crime in Qatar, where he said it would be impossible to identify a perpetrator because everyone is named Mohammed and dresses in the same white robes. They were like a “Ku Klux Sandsman,” Von said.

He later pointed to the Qatari troops in the audience and said “they don’t like me.”
