President Trump Takes HUGE Lead in Critical County

In the political showdown that is Maricopa County, Republicans are charging to the polls, leaving Democrats in the dust.

And with President Trump supporters making up over two-thirds of Election Day voters, the blue team is looking more than a little outnumbered.

So far 42.5% of the votes coming in are for Trump.

Only a measly 20% is for Kamala.

So what are Democrats to do?

Did they see this coming?

Would that explain the numerous recent articles coming out stating that it will “take some time” to know the results for Maricopa?

Some reports estimating it will take 10-14 days to get the results.

Local Maricopa CBS news reports:

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) is a hub of activity on Tuesday for Election Day, and it will likely remain that way for the better part of two weeks.

MCTEC is where ballots are counted for the county. Officials say this year, expect to wait for results.

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer said the ballot-counting process will take 10 to 14 days. The timeline is consistent with previous election cycles.

Inside the building, there are bipartisan teams of Republicans, Democrats and Independents working overtime to process all the ballots. Richer said about 100 people are working at all times.

The teams are responsible for removing the two-page ballot from its envelope and checking that it’s not damaged and both pages are there.

As of Monday afternoon, about 1.4 million ballot packets have been signature-verified in Maricopa County. That’s out of nearly 2.6 million registered voters in the county.

Polls close Tuesday at 7 p.m. It’s important to note, voters who are in line at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to vote.

We will continue to keep an eye on Maricopa County.
