The ‘news’ of Qatar’s BRIBE PAYMENT to President Trump has been widely misreported.
If that isn’t the facetious understatement of the year, then — no, I shouldn’t say that.
There are still a good many months left in this year, and the mainstream media might still have a chance to one-up this latest case of clownery.
(Yes, ‘clownery’ is a real word. No, I didn’t know that until I typed it, and was pleasantly surprised.)
We brought you the news over the weekend that President Trump was excitedly touting the “gift” of a luxurious plane set to be given by the Qatari royal family:
Wouldn't you know it, with ABC at the head of the pack on this one, most of the mainstream reports were highly contrived and way ahead of the truth.
FACT: Qatar is preparing to give the plane as a gift.
FACT: President Trump is incredibly excited about it.
But the deal is not a finished thing, and President Trump would not be the recipient of the gift to begin with -- the point of contention so many Democrats pounced on... since they don't have anything SUBSTANTIAL to pounce on.
The comment section on our initial report of this "gift", and everywhere it was shared on social media, quickly filled with people expecting that the President was using this situation to troll the Trump-haters.
And that appears to be exactly what he was doing; giving people enough truth, but enough leeway to make up the false narratives he knew would be forthcoming...
And ultimately create a scenario in which he could ONCE AGAIN call them out for their NEED to lie about him!
While the trolling was still in full tilt mode on Sunday, President Trump added a little fuel to the fire in the form of this trolling post:
So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane.…

It was at that point that I realized he was, in fact, trolling the Democrats and the media.
Here's the full text of that post for easier reading:

Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!! MAGA

And then on Monday, with the trap set and the lamestream media clumsily wrapping the rope around it's own neck, the President waited.
And sure enough, ABC News finally took the bait.
I get the feeling I'm watching a classic Warner Brother's cartoon with Foghorn Leghorn running verbal circles around his foe while the unsuspecting victim is still trying to figure out what just happened.
Watch this clip from Monday, as ABC News stumbles right in to the President's trolling trap:
Trump crushes ABC when they grill him about Qatar's gift of a free jet:
"You're ABC fake news, right?...You should be embarrassed asking that question. They're giving us a free jet...It's not a gift to me—it's a gift to the Department of Defense. And you should know better… pic.twitter.com/xy0xHG5NYG

It was around this time that Qatar's media attache to the United States shot down the falsified reporting.
Not only has the deal not been finalized, but it is still under review for the legality of the arrangement, according to a report in Newsweek:
President Donald Trump scolded a reporter on Monday for asking him about his administration's acceptance of a $400 million luxury jet from Qatar's royal family.
Initial reports about the jet sparked fury from Democrats and ethics watchdogs, who accused the president of corruption. The news also drew backlash from some conservatives, who raised national security concerns over the U.S. accepting such a lavish gift from the Qataris.
The president went on to reference an anecdote connected to the late American professional golfer Sam Snead.
"He had a motto: when they give you a putt, you say, 'Thank you very much,' you pick up your ball and you walk to the next hole."
Ali Al-Ansari, Qatar's media attaché to the U.S., told Newsweek on Sunday that reports about the gift were "inaccurate" and that "the matter remains under review by the respective legal departments and no decision has been made."
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the White House is still working on "legal details" surrounding the gift, telling Fox News: "The Qatari government has graciously offered to donate a plane to the Department of Defense, the legal details of that are still being worked out."
Al-Ansari, Qatar's media attaché, told CNBC that the jet will not be gifted to Trump during the trip.
My top concern wasn't the legality -- I have no doubt the team of White House lawyers assembled by President Trump would be sure to keep him from inadvertently playing in to the Democrats' hands by blundering in to a Constitutional mistake like that.
My top concern, rather, was the security issues of the President riding around in a borrowed plane from a Mideast royal family -- no matter how friendly they have been towards us in "SOME" respects.
Nevertheless, I agree with the popular X account MJTruthUltra on that point:
Whoa… President Trump says the Free Plane gifted by Qatar will be used as a Temporary Air Force One, until the new Boeings arrive
The new AF1 Boeings are supposed to be delivered anywhere between 2027-2028.
MY THOUGHTS:
I would say I should be worried about our president… pic.twitter.com/znLUyVWYME— MJTruthUltra (@MJTruthUltra) May 14, 2025
Here's the key part of that post for easier reading:
MY THOUGHTS: I would say I should be worried about our president riding around in an aircraft built by a foreign nation, but at this point, I believe he’s 100% insulated. Frankly, he may be doing it for a reason… maybe he doesn’t trust the plane he’s riding on now?
Whatever worries I may have of crazy small nano tech for any number of nefarious purposes hidden within that plane, the fact is there's no way President Trump would leave that to chance.
If he ends up using the plane, it'll be safe; no doubt about that.
But the final point of that post rings true as well. If the President is going for this deal, he certainly has his reasons.
It COULD be that he actually trusts this Qatari plane more than he trusts his own!?
While we're dabbling in social media land, take in the contrasting points of this post:
Obama sent $400 million on a plane to Iran.
Trump saved $400 million on a plane from Qatar.
Obama sent money to terrorists and Trump is saving Americans money.
Which one are the Media and Democrats against?
Very telling. pic.twitter.com/SNpcMzUG9h

There's no confusion between those points, and no doubt about who was thinking about the good of the American people... and who was thinking of his own good, at the expense of the American people.
But I don't want to focus too much on Obama.
Biden should get a little mud on his face during this story as well, for all the waste he's allowed as Boeing took America for a very expensive ride!
AMERICA FIRST! Trump reportedly secured a luxury 747 from Qatar at ZERO COST to taxpayers for use as Air Force One!
Meanwhile, Biden wasted BILLIONS on new planes with endless delays.
THE ART OF THE DEAL!pic.twitter.com/wvucFIVLmW

It's a shame when the foreign media attache is more direct and honest with the American people than the majority of our own media:
Even the AP knows the Qatar story is BS.
Ali Al-Ansari, Qatar’s media attaché, in a statement said, “Reports that a jet is being gifted by Qatar to the United States government during the upcoming visit of President Trump are inaccurate.” pic.twitter.com/jdFAHsWgm5
— Spitfire (@DogRightGirl) May 11, 2025
And then yesterday, President Trump took to Social Media to pull the mask off of ABC and the lamestream deceivers...
Pointing out what had already been said by the Qatari media attache, ensuring the willingness of the media to falsify a story for an agenda didn't go unnoticed.
Here's the President's Truth Social post from Tuesday evening, further shaming American news media:
Here's the full text of his post in case that's hard to read:
The Boeing 747 is being given to the United States Air Force/Department of Defense, NOT TO ME! It is a gift from a Nation, Qatar, that we have successfully defended for many years. It will be used by our Government as a temporary Air Force One, until such time as our new Boeings, which are very late on delivery, arrive. Why should our military, and therefore our taxpayers, be forced to pay hundreds of millions of Dollars when they can get it for FREE from a country that wants to reward us for a job well done. This big savings will be spent, instead, to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Only a FOOL would not accept this gift on behalf of our Country. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Ultimately, the President hit the perfect nuance between common sense and due diligence as pertains to the law governing this issue.
Here's a great clip from the President's interview onboard the current Air Force One with Sean Hannity, talking in-depth about the possible plane gift:
In response to the backlash, he offered plain spoken reality.
He revealed that Qatar is gifting the plane as a well-deserved THANK YOU for years of security guarantees, according to Fox News:
Trump has received backlash for planning to accept the jumbo Boeing 747-8 jet from the Qatari royal family since news of the gift broke on Sunday.
"Now, some people say, 'oh, you shouldn't accept gifts for the country.' My attitude is, why wouldn't I accept the gift? We're giving to everybody else? Why wouldn't I accept the gift?" the president said to Hannity.
The luxury jet, which was offered to the United States because of delays in Boeing's production of the new Air Force One fleet, will serve as a temporary method of transportation so that the current presidential plane doesn't have to be flown.
Trump has said AF1 is nearly 40 years old and looks "much less impressive" when compared to the planes in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar.
"You know, we're the United States of America. I believe that we should have the most impressive plane," Trump told Hannity.
In addition to Boeing running behind on delivering the new fleet, the jumbo jet is a gift to the Department of Defense for "a job well done" in successfully defending Qatar "for many years," Trump added on Truth Social a few hours after the interview.
"Why should our military, and therefore our taxpayers, be forced to pay hundreds of millions of Dollars when they can get it for FREE from a country that wants to reward us for a job well done," he wrote.
I'll be honest -- I'm still concerned about the potential safety issues.
The President of the United States should be flying around in a plane produced and built by -- and in -- the United States.
But as one musical philosopher once quipped, "You don't always get what you want... but you might just find you get what you need."
That may be the truth of this scenario, and that doesn't negate all the common sense that President Trump has applied to this possible gift.
We need a plane, they have a plane -- what's a $400 Million dollar plane between friends?
It's an exceptionally good opportunity to TROLL your HATERS... that's what it is.
And a darn good deal for the American people, thanks to President Trump's ability to think outside the box and resist the constraints that conventional thinking would put on him -- and on America.
