Rapper Lil Nas X shared a video of himself from a hospital bed, revealing that one side of his face is paralyzed.
Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, said he “lost control” of half his face.

The 26-year-old rapper showed fans that he was unable to smile because his right side was seemingly paralyzed.
Wearing a hospital gown and a cap, Nas appeared to be in good spirits as he awkwardly laughed at his situation and said: “When I smile… This is me doing a full smile right now, by the way,” showing viewers that he could not move the right side of his mouth.
“What the f***, bruh?” he went on. “I can’t even laugh right, bro — what the f***? Oh my god.” The star then shook his head in apparent disbelief before abruptly concluding the video with: “Oh my god, bro… So… Yeah.”
Many social media users speculated that the rapper likely has Bell’s palsy, a condition causing temporary facial paralysis.

Many commenters wrote that they believe Lil Nas X has Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes muscle weakness in one side of the face, according to the Mayo Clinic. The condition is usually temporary and can cause one side of the face to appear droopy.
Lil Nas X reassured fans in posts to his Instagram story, saying that he is OK and to “stop being sad” for him.
The artist said he feels like his condition is improving in an update posted to his Instagram Tuesday. He attempts to smile and wink in the short video with some success.
“Smile getting a lil better,” he wrote.
