Shortly after being confirmed as HHS Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. promised to launch an investigation into the true cause of the autism epidemic.
Today, he provided an update on that investigation.
During a Cabinet meeting this afternoon, RFK Jr. announced that the Department of Health and Human Services will undertake a “massive testing and research effort” to find out why childhood autism rates have been spiking.
Whether it’s the vaccines, chemicals in our food, or something else, we’re going to get to the bottom of it.
RFK Jr. went further to state that we will know what the cause of autism is “by September…And we’ll be able to eliminate those exposures.”
Watch what RFK Jr. had to say for yourself right here:

The updates from RFK Jr. on HHS deserve everyone’s attention. RFK Jr.: “The autism rate has risen from 1 in 10,000 when I was a kid to about 1 in 31 today, according to the latest numbers. At your direction, we will launch a massive testing and research effort in September involving hundreds of scientists worldwide. We will identify the cause of the autism epidemic and eliminate it. Pres. Trump: It was 1 in 10,000 children with autism, now it’s 1 in 31—not 31,000. ” Trump: “That’s a horrible statistic. Something artificial must be causing this. Do you have a good idea?” RFK Jr.: “We will know by September.” Pres. Trump: “If you find that answer, it will be the biggest news conference ever.” This man is ensuring MAHA’s success, and America will benefit greatly.
AP reported:
The nation’s top health agency will undertake a “massive testing and research effort” to determine the cause of autism, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Thursday.
Kennedy, a longtime vaccine critic who has pushed a discredited theory that routine childhood shots cause the developmental disability, said the effort will be completed by September and involve hundreds of scientists. He shared the plans with President Donald Trump during a televised Cabinet meeting.
Trump suggested that vaccines could be to blame for autism rates, although decades of research have concluded there is no link between the two.
“There’s got to be something artificial out there that’s doing this,” Trump told Kennedy. “If you can come up with that answer, where you stop taking something, eating something, or maybe it’s a shot. But something’s causing it.”
Autism is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. It presents with a wide range of symptoms that can include delays in language, learning, and social or emotional skills.
There’s scientific consensus that childhood vaccines don’t cause autism. Leading autism advocacy groups, including Autism Speaks, agree.
Right now, about 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with autism. Comparatively, that number was 1 in 150 in the year 2000.
Something’s not right here.
Up until now, scientists have refused to research the root cause of the skyrocketing autism rate — without bias.
By all appearances, RFK Jr.’s investigation will be different. Objective.
And if the cause if found, then finding a solution will be huge. It will change lives.
As President Trump noted, “There will be no bigger news conference than that. If you can come up with that answer where you stop taking something, you stop eating something, or maybe it’s a shot. But something’s causing it.”
This is what real leadership and courage look like — asking the hard questions, following the science, and refusing to accept silence over skyrocketing numbers. If RFK Jr. finds the truth, it will change everything. MAHA is delivering.

The Hill added:
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has launched a “massive testing and research effort” that HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said will determine the cause of rising childhood autism rates in the country.
During a meeting of President Trump’s Cabinet on Thursday, Kennedy said the process will involve “hundreds of scientists around the world” and answers will come this fall.
“By September we will know what has caused the autism epidemic,” Kennedy said. “And we’ll be able to eliminate those exposures.” …
Scientists don’t know exactly what causes autism spectrum disorder, but they are researching numerous environmental, genetic and biological possibilities including an infection or contact with chemicals in the environment, problems with brain connections, and problems with metabolism.
No reliable study has shown a link between autism spectrum disorder and any vaccine, but Trump on Thursday without any basis said autism could be caused by “something artificial” and “maybe it’s a shot.”
“There will be no bigger news conference than that,” Trump said. “If you can come up with that answer where you stop taking something, you stop eating something, or maybe it’s a shot. But something’s causing it.”
