As President Donald Trump prepares for his second term in the White House, his rivals on the other side of the political aisle are in a constant state of panic and outrage.
U.S Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is bucking his party’s trend, however, even going as far as to warn his fellow Democrats that it’s not wise to be so upset this early.
According to The Hill:
“And that’s the thing. If you’re already exhausted, freaking out, and it’s not even Thanksgiving, then you really ought to pace yourselves. Because he hasn’t even been inaugurated yet,” Fetterman said in an interview with NBC News on Friday.
“So you really have to chill out, and you’re going to have to be more discerning or discriminate on what’s going to freak you out, or what’s just trolling,” he added. “Because it’s not the weather, it’s the climate now for the next four years.”
Fetterman’s comments come as Trump has rolled out a bevy of Cabinet and other administration appointments this week, with some of them drawing shock across Washington. He picked former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) to be his attorney general, former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) as the director of national intelligence and Fox News’s Pete Hegseth for defense secretary.

He further distanced himself from his party’s elite with his response to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to seek another term.
John Fetterman just came out publicly against Nancy Pelosi and called her out for overthrowing Biden.
“I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84, and she is still hanging on. Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?”

The Pennsylvania Democrat went on to assail Pelosi’s involvement in the election, namely by pressuring Joe Biden to drop out of the race.
As HuffPost reported:
“She really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? — she embraced this, ‘she’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer,’” he said. “And now she’s blaming Biden. Well, you can’t have it both ways.”
“You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden,” he continued. “I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84 and she is still hanging on. Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?”
The finger-pointing among frustrated Democrats began almost immediately after Trump’s election victory last week. In her first interview after the election, the longtime House speaker told the New York Times that Harris would’ve been a “stronger” candidate had Biden exited the race sooner.
