Sen. John Fetterman Complains About Having to Do His Job: “I’ve Already Missed Our Entire Trip to the Beach!”

Just when you think he’s got a good head on his shoulders, Democrat Sen. John Fetterman proves otherwise.

Today, Sen. Fetterman whined and moaned to a reporter about actually having to do his job, for once.

As President Trump promised, the Senate has been hard at work over the weekend to advance his agenda.

When asked about it, Sen. Fetterman looked fed up and complained that he just wants to go home because he’s already missed his beach trip with his family.

He acted like having to work over the weekend on passing bills wasn’t what he signed up for when he ran for Senator, noting that it was unfair to keep them there until some “ungodly hour.”

Fetterman also stated that he still plans to vote ‘no’ on President Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill.’

Transcript:

Reporter: Did you get any clues on the floor about what time this might wrap?

Fetterman: Oh my God. I just want to go home. I’ve already, I’ve missed our entire trip to the beach. My family’s going to be back before me. So, and again, I’m going to vote no. There’s no drama. The votes are going to go. In fact, the only interesting votes are going to be on the margin, whether that’s Collins, or Johnson, and those, but all the Democrats, we all know how that’s going to go. And I think, I don’t think it’s really helpful to put people here ’till some ungodly hour.

Oh, give me a break!

The Senate gets plenty of time off — too much time off in many people’s opinions. Way more time off than most hardworking Americans.

There will be plenty more beach trips with his family.

In fact, the Senate is off for the entire month of August.

If Sen. Fetterman hates doing his job so much, then he should resign and let someone else who actually cares enough about their constituents to want to work for them have his seat.

The Senate is set to vote on the final version of the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ on Wednesday, as President Trump wants it on his desk by Friday.

Right now, the Senate is busy rolling out votes on a multitude of amendments to the bill, in a ‘vote-a-rama.’

This is the process that Sen. Fetterman seems very annoyed at.

Politico noted:

GOP leaders expect rapid-fire amendments to roll in until at least late Monday evening. With a swath of unresolved issues — from potential cuts to the Medicaid provider tax to the phasing out of clean-energy credits — the process could easily extend into the night.

He later posted on X:

Sen. Fetterman isn’t getting much sympathy online:
