Spotify Has A New #1 Podcast, Joe Rogan Overtaken

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has overtaken Joe Rogan this week for the top-rated podcast on Spotify.

The Tucker Carlson Show dethroned The Joe Rogan Experience for the #1 ranking in Spotify’s ‘The Podcast Charts.’

“Thank you for making us number 1,” Tucker Carlson Network wrote.

Mediaite reports:

Rogan, who slipped to second place, has long reigned as the most listened-to podcast on Spotify, where his Joe Rogan Experience podcast runs exclusively. In early 2024, Rogan renewed his deal with Spotify, the most-used audio platform in the country, for a reported $250 million over multiple years.

Rogan’s eyeball-popping salary from Spotify is a testament to both the reach and profitability of his show, which Carlson has now beaten out in terms of audience – at least for Thursday. As of March 2024, Rogan had some 14.5 million followers on Spotify, according to Bloomberg.

Carlson, who was fired from Fox last April while hosting the most popular show on cable news, debuted his podcast last December on the newly created Tucker Carlson Network.

In his latest interview, Tucker Carlson sat down with former GOP presidential candidate and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson.

Highlights below:

Carlson also interviewed Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec this week.

“Congrats to Tucker and the entire incredible TCN team. I wonder if he had any good guests on this week!” Posobiec said.

From The Post Millennial:

Rogan has long been the number one podcast on Spotify for quite some time, however, some of the large interviews on Carlson’s show may have put the political commentator over the top.

Posobiec as well as Dr. Ben Carson have gone onto the show the week after Biden dropped out of the race. Additionally, on July 18, Mike Cernovich appeared on The Tucker Carlson Show. Posobiec and Carlson discussed the attempted assassination on Donald Trump during the Tuesday episode. They also spoke on Kamala Harris replacing Joe Biden in the 2024 race, the shooter’s motive in the assassination attempt, and why Biden stayed out of the public eye for a week after going to Nevada.
