‘They Don’t Have Any Answer’: Sen. Hawley Points Out Why President Trump Has Leftist Critics ‘Going Nuts’

In response to President Donald Trump’s bold tariff policy, many of his leftist detractors have been up in arms — even though some of them have supported similar policies in the past.

As for why these critics are provoking so much animosity with their politically charged rhetoric, one pro-Trump senator recently shared his theory.

As the Daily Caller reported:

Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley said on Fox News Thursday that the liberals are “going crazy” because they know President Donald Trump is right about China.

Chinese officials reportedly admitted in December that Beijing launched cyberattacks on U.S. infrastructure in response to American support for Taiwan, escalating tensions between the two nations. During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” Hawley slammed the Biden administration’s handling of China and said Trump’s aggressive stance on that nation is driving political opponents to the brink.

“The liberals are going crazy, and they’re going nuts because they know he’s right,” Hawley said. “They don’t have any answer for it. They know he’s right. They know this is what needs to happen.”

Hawley accused the Biden administration of neglect and weakness in the face of mounting cyber threats.

Concerns about China’s role in U.S. hacking operations grew significantly during the Biden administration:

Hawley’s efforts to get to the bottom of Chinese tech threats have been shared widely via social media:

Here’s what the New York Post reported:

Sen. Josh Hawley asked Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday to testify before Congress in response to whistleblower allegations that he “sold out our country’s security for China profits.”

The request from Hawley (R-Mo.) followed bombshell testimony from Sarah Wynn-Williams – a former Facebook policy executive who said Wednesday she witnessed Zuckerberg and other top brass lie to Congress and “repeatedly undermine US national security and betray American values” in a failed effort to appease Beijing and gain access to the Chinese market.

“The public deserves to hear your response to these serious allegations, particularly since they pertain to American national security,” Hawley said in a letter addressed to Zuckerberg.
