Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has been rushed to a D.C. hospital by an ambulance.

The Telegraph had more details:

Kristi Noem, Donald Trump’s homeland security secretary, has been rushed to hospital, according to reports.

Ms Noem’s was taken to hospital in Washington, DC by ambulance, two sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

Details of her condition are unclear. Ms Noem is said to have been conscious at the hospital and has reportedly spoken with her security team.

The Daily Mail further reported that Noem had an allergic reaction:

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was rushed to a hospital in the Washington, D.C. area on Tuesday.

A DHS spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the Cabinet secretary suffered from an ‘allergic reaction.’

‘Secretary Noem had an allergic reaction today. She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering,’ Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said.

Sources told CNN that Noem was conscious at the hospital and was speaking with her security detail.
