“While traveling with a bipartisan Congressional delegation in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation,” Pelosi spokesperson Ian Krager said in a statement, according to Axios.
Pelosi’s injury follows Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sustaining an injury to his face after falling during a Senate Republican lunch.

Per Axios:
Pelosi “is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals,” the spokesperson added.
The bipartisan CODEL was set to run through Saturday and included 17 other House members, according to Speaker Mike Johnsons’ (R-La.) office.
Several Republicans on the trip issued statements wishing Pelosi well after the incident, with Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul (R-Texas) saying he is “disappointed” that Pelosi won’t be able to attend the rest of the trip.
“But she is strong, and I am confident she will be back on her feet in no time. Praying for a speedy recovery,” he added.
According to ABC News, Pelosi will likely require surgery for the hip injury.
It’s unclear when and where she would receive a surgery.
UPDATE: It is now confirmed that Nancy did break her hip.
This kind of injury at her age is typically the start of a rapid decline in overall health.
She should resign from her seat and retire from politics IMMEDIATELY. https://t.co/wBJXx9TmT0 pic.twitter.com/erhy6cfzwb

ABC News reports:
Eighteen House members are part of the delegation, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson. They were to take part in observances of the anniversary of the pivotal World War II battle on Friday and Saturday.
Other lawmakers on the trip include Republican Rep. Michael McCaul, the chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Democratic Rep. Mark Takano, ranking member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
Pelosi in November won reelection to her California seat, clinching a landmark 20th term.
