WATCH: Steve Bannon Endorses President Trump In 2028

In an interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, Steve Bannon said he believes President Trump will run for president again in 2028 and win.

“I’m a firm believer that President Trump will run and win again in 2028, so I’ve already endorsed President Trump,” Bannon said.

“A man like this comes along once every century, if we’re lucky. We’ve got him now. He’s on fire. And I’m a huge supporter. I want to see him again in 2028,” he continued.

“You know he’s term-limited. How do you think he gets another term?” Cuomo asked.

“We’re working on it,” Bannon replied.

“I think we’ll have a couple of alternatives, let’s say that. We’ll see what the definition of term limit is,” he added.

The Hill reports:

Trump has floated the idea of running for a third presidential term a number of times despite it being unconstitutional with the 22nd Amendment, which limits politicians to two presidential terms.

He most recently teased a run last week during a White House St. Patrick’s Day event alongside Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin.

“Taoiseach, I want to just thank you once again for being here. It’s an honor, and hopefully we’re gonna be doing this at least three more times, OK,” Trump said at the time. “We’re gonna be doing this three more times, at least.”

“When I say ‘at least,’ they go absolutely crazy,” the president added, referring to the news media. “So thank you very much for being here.”

When Cuomo asked Bannon, who has not fully ruled out his own 2028 White House bid, how he plans to secure another term for Trump, the former strategist said the wheels are already in motion.

Per NewsNation:

He described the current administration’s actions as a “revolution of common sense to deconstruct the administrative state” and claimed anti-democratic forces are working through the courts to “obstruct a sitting president” from fulfilling his executive mandate.

Bannon defended Elon Musk’s role in implementing the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

He acknowledged having “huge, almost unbridgeable differences” with Musk on issues including “transhumanism and technology and visas and immigration,” but praised Musk’s support for their efforts.

“He backed our play,” Bannon said, mentioning Musk contributed financially to their voter outreach and supported the merger of “Bobby Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again with MAGA.”

Bannon described Musk’s DOGE initiative as deploying “shock troops” in a “trauma-inducing effort into the administrative state” that, while “not pretty,” has been “pretty effective.”
