In a press conference, authorities stated that a 19-year-old Austrian citizen who had become radicalized by ISIS propaganda online was arrested in Ternitz. At the beginning of July, he took an "oath of allegiance" to its current leader. A subsequent search and seizure of his home conducted by special forces produced chemical substances that are currently being evaluated.
A second arrest was made in Vienna, however police did not provide further details and said more would come "in the foreseeable future." They said that security measures would be beefed up for Taylor Swift's Vienna concerts.
