According to The Times of Israel, at approximately 7:30 am Israel time (12:00 am Eastern), Iran began observing the ceasefire, albeit after launching multiple missile barrages at Israel in the final minutes before the truce. The missile attacks struck cities across Israel, including a deadly hit on a residential building in Beersheba that killed at least five people and wounded more than 20 others.

In a sweeping statement Tuesday morning, the Israeli government declared the objectives of Operation Rising Lion fully achieved. The Prime Minister’s Office claimed Israel had neutralized "a dual immediate existential threat – both in the nuclear and ballistic missile fields."
“In the past 24 hours, the IDF has struck deep in the heart of Tehran, eliminating hundreds of Basij operatives, the regime’s domestic repression force, and assassinated another senior nuclear scientist,” the statement read. The Israeli military reportedly achieved full air superiority over Tehran and destroyed dozens of high-value Iranian government and military targets.
"Israel thanks President Trump and the United States for their support in defense and their participation in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat," the government said, emphasizing that any violation of the ceasefire would be met with forceful retaliation.
Despite the announced truce, Iranian missiles continued to fall on Israeli soil well into the morning. Most were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile defense systems, but one struck a seven-story residential building in Beersheba, killing five and wounded over 20.
Emergency teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) treated the wounded and rescued survivors from the rubble. “We saw thick smoke rising… extensive destruction in several buildings,” said senior paramedic Shimrit Sela.
A 15-year-old was also reportedly injured in the northern city of Hadera, and missile fragments caused damage in the Sharon region.
The Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority warned residents to stay clear of impacted sites as search and rescue operations continued, with one individual still missing.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a meeting with the security cabinet, IDF Chief of Staff, and Mossad Director, reiterated that Israel had “removed the immediate existential threats” to the nation. He confirmed Israel’s agreement to the ceasefire was coordinated fully with President Trump.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich hailed the military campaign as a “crushing victory.”
“We have removed an immediate existential threat… and severely damaged the Iranian ayatollah regime,” said Smotrich, acknowledging the pain of the civilian losses in Beersheba but insisting the operation would be remembered as a historic triumph for Israel.
Israel’s Home Front Command announced that citizens no longer needed to remain near protected areas, signaling a return to cautious normalcy. Airspace, briefly closed due to the Iranian attacks, was reopened to inbound flights by the Israel Airports Authority.
Over the course of the 12-day conflict, Iran launched 511 ballistic missiles at Israel. According to Israeli military officials, only 30 of those missiles successfully hit targets—a hit rate of just 5.87%. Most of the remaining missiles fell between 500 to 1,500 meters off course. The Israeli Air Defense Force (IADF) intercepted 85% of the missiles that posed a threat to populated areas, while the rest fell in uninhabited zones.
Despite these defenses, 28 Israeli civilians were killed during the conflict, with hundreds more injured or traumatized.
