Human Events columnist Kenny Cody joined Jack Posobiec on his show, Human Events Daily on Wednesday, to talk about the devastation Hurricane Helene has caused all around him.

Cody, who lives in Cocke County on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, reported severe flooding that has wreaked havoc on his community, which he said is "deeply suffering right now."

He said that lives have been lost, people are still missing, and food and housing has been lost, but that "water is the main concern right now. We've not had a lot of consistent water since Saturday." He explained that while water has been "turned back on in some areas," it is not necessarily clean and could be contaminated with E. coli.

"Mainly what we're struggling with is water, and mainly what we're struggling with is just people being able to cook, people being able to take showers, people being able to use the bathroom," Cody said. "And a lot of our local churches and charity organizations are helping people out, but we need all, all the donations and all of the, all the help that we can get here in our community, because our people are suffering."
