“That helps China. They’re building the Belt and Road Initiative. They want global shipping to be shut down."
On Monday's Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec opened with a monologue confronting the expanding crisis in the Middle East kicked off between Israel and Iran, and questioning America's global military presence, having viewers question if it's the right thing to get involved in another war.
“Should the United States be the policeman of the world? Should the United States have all these bases everywhere?” he asked at the top of the segment. “I think it’s a serious question and it’s a question we should be willing to ask. Do these things benefit the United States? It’s a serious debate, and if we’re talking America First, it is something we should all talk about.”
Posobiec made clear, these questions don't exist in a vacuum: “We don’t live in isolation. Things don’t happen in a vacuum,” he said. “As the US is currently getting bogged into a third Middle Eastern war—we’re not going mince words around here—it’s a war. It’s a war between Israel and Iran.”
He noted that US involvement is already underway, not hypothetical. “The US is already involved, we’re involved because we’re shooting down missiles over Israel—destroyers have been activated, ballistic missile defense, the Aegis system, THAAD, high altitude air defense, already active. American missiles, American troops, American sailors. 5,000 sailors on each aircraft carrier, bringing it to 10,000. Directly within range of everything that Iran has got.”
He warned about the strategic consequences. “And then, the CCP gets a free hand and is on the rise. You know who’d love us to be bogged down? China. Of course they would, of course the CCP wants us bogged down in the Middle East, wasting money, wasting blood yet again, possibly. Like we’ve been for the last 30 years.”
Posobiec brought it back to the moment Donald Trump triumphantly reentered the political arena, 10 years ago to this day. “President Trump, back when he was Mr. Donald Trump, candidate Trump, came down that escalator 10 years ago today to warn us ‘you don’t get anything from this. You empower our adversaries by doing this.’”
He also pointed to remarks made earlier that day. “And by the way, General Flynn made this point earlier today. If Iran goes so far as to blockade the Persian Gulf—if they blockade, they’re already blocking—there’s some reports of GPS jamming that’s affecting the flow of oil at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, where 20 percent of the world’s oil moves on a daily basis.”
That disruption, Posobiec said, plays directly into China's global ambitions. “That helps China. They’re building the Belt and Road Initiative. They want global shipping to be shut down."
"Why? That drives you into the hands of the CCP. All those pipelines, and railroads, and everything they’re building up through Pakistan and through Xinjiang and through the Uyghurs. That’s why they suppressed the Uyghurs. Because they’re building roads and pipelines. Cherchez la petrol, look for the oil. You’ve got oil wars, you’ve got drone wars, and the rest of it.”
“These are not our wars. This is not our fight. No more Americans need to die for this,” he stated. “That’s what President Trump ran on 10 years ago today. That’s what we’re focused on right here on Human Events Daily.”
"JD Vance talked about this, the ordo amoris—the order of loves.”
Later in the monologue, Posobiec described a recent media confrontation. “I was on this debate on Piers Morgan, and they said ‘oh, you don’t want to bomb Iran. That means you’re fine with them getting a nuclear weapon?’ Some journalist said to me.”
He pushed back. “I said wait a minute, you’re trying to Kafka trap me right now. I never said I want something, what I said is that the United States should focus on our own number one interest first. Our people, our way of life, what we want, things that are direct threats to us.”
“If we’re going to get involved in another war, if we are going to get involved in the sandbox, the sand trap—I don’t want to get involved in another sand trap. I don't wanna have to send my sons over to another sand trap where they can die for something that doesn't directly affect us and our family and our neighborhood."
