JASON KILLMEYER: How to defuse Leftist hysteria over mass deportations

Make no mistake, media gaslighting will be on a scale we haven’t yet seen.

In response to the current administration’s mass importation program, polls consistently show the American people understand the need for deportation of illegal immigrants at the same scale. The historic brazenness of Biden and Harris’ extralegal enabling of illegal entry into the country has shocked the American public. Support for mass deportation is strong in every racial and ethnic demographic. This shouldn’t surprise us: the restoration of order after a period of deliberately sewn instability and chaos is a natural response to what Americans have seen and been subjected to.

In fact, for Americans to embrace anything less than the mass deportation of illegal immigrants would require accepting that only Democratic presidents get to determine U.S. immigration policy, as their deliberate abuse of our laws becomes permanent and irreversible, even with interim periods of border security and Congress’ pretense of action.

But restoring law and order will be tougher than we realize, because we’re talking about a much broader concept of law and order than say, adjusting local police presence in response to neighborhood crime hotspots. Three specific challenges will combine to make returning to a state of lawfulness a daunting challenge.

The first is that the Democrat’s political project depends now almost entirely upon the twin degradations of voter harvesting and demographic engineering. The second is that a Democratic party that has talked itself into extralegal maneuvers and street violence is unlikely to, facing what is essentially an existential crisis, resist only within the boundaries of the law. And third, the focus of this essay, is the sheer scale of the political and media operation about to be unleashed on the American people simply for daring to reassert their own sovereignty.

The coming deportation hysteria can be deflated, and the American people inoculated from it, if we act now, in the period before the media machine turns its eye back to this issue and begins gaslighting the American people.

Make no mistake, media gaslighting will be on a scale we haven’t yet seen. This must be understood and anticipated. We’ll see more than just bad photo opportunities exploited by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and the theater kids of Congress. More than just reporters weeping on air outside of Dulles airport, and the press corps-camped-out-at-airports frenzy of the so-called Muslin ban. More than just the “direct action” movements we’ve seen before, of “pro-immigration” activists staging live protests and physically disrupting ICE operations. It will be all of this turned up to a volume that deafens all else. They will fight as if their entire political project depends on it, because it does.

Members of the Democratic party such as ABC, NBC and CNN have cultivated a dangerous concept, even with their brief pivot to “joy” which won’t last past September. What concept? Those Democratic party leaders in the media mainstreamed the idea that enforcing existing federal immigration law is akin to militaristic nativism, a dark and foreboding sign. Deportation-at-scale may even herald a martial regime transition in America, they tell us, with whip-bearing federal officials and dangerous roundups.

What is that dangerous Rubicon we may cross? The enforcement of existing federal law passed by our national legislature reflective of the will of the people. All to be enforced in the wake of an election in which a recently elected candidate ran on this issue, one that ranks near the top of every voter concern list.

The "end of democracy" rhetoric has been so irresponsibly cultivated by the media amongst the Democratic base that most Americans will likely be surprised how many of their countrymen believe a regime change will be affected by that nefarious two-step process: Americans voting for a new president and that president enforcing existing law. They will be even more surprised to learn that their fellow countrymen not only believe that our immigration laws are antiquated and racist, but that enforcing those laws is the harbinger of regime change and, to some, the advent of martial law.

And yet, while a Democratic president usurped federal law to unilaterally execute one of the most radical policy changes in American history, no one worried about the limits of the executive. The media didn’t once ask what it meant for our ability to maintain the political union in the face of such blatant disregard for the consensus-requiring mechanisms we agreed to live under together. It is only now that a Republican president might seek to undo that, to return us to lawful order, that the media is convincing a significant percentage of the population that the person in charge of enforcing federal law is a dictator for choosing to do so.

Why do I go on at such length in the inherent absurdity and hypocrisy of our opponent’s position? Because we haven’t seen yet what enforcing that absurdity will look like in practice, not at this scale.

No, not even in the era of the destabilizing Russian collusion myth and the “mostly peaceful protest” lies. Nor have we understood that the reality of deporting millions of illegal aliens will require a necessary and major enforcement infrastructure, one that will be visible in many Americans' lives.

These concerns may seem far afield to some, given Harris’ position in the polls and the full-on Ellen DeGeneres treatment she’s getting, but the turnout game of Democrats will need to rely on more than vibes to juice turnout as we get closer to Election Day. As swing state polls tighten, and uncertainty over the result draws near, the fear and fervor of the media machine will again turn to gaslighting the American people, and many on the Left will again openly discuss the enforcement of existing immigration law in the form of deportation as a moment for true physical resistance. Put more simply, we must understand that the unlawful will make our return to lawfulness painful and costly.

So, what do we tell the American people before the media machine turns its full and unrestrained ire on them? How do we best prepare in this brief interregnum?

What do we tell the people as we begin to prepare for the great civil effort to restore American sovereignty against what will be ferocious resistance? We tell the American people to reject as humane any system that encourages human trafficking and indentured servitude.

We tell the American people to reject the absurd notion that the cartel-created, Biden/Harris-encouraged conditions of so much human death and misery are somehow a more humane option than the orderly deportation of people to their home countries.

We remind them that we have all daily watched the federal government, in concert with cartels and NGO’s, operate with an alarming efficiency as they move people with haste and swiftness into the country and outfit them with taxpayer-funded debit cards and even maps to help them avoid detention.

We remind them that we’ve watched Mayorkas’ DHS charter flights and award massive federal bussing contracts to disperse millions around the country. They have built an infrastructure, accepting human pain in its operation, for the industrial movement of people. Such modes of transportation do not suddenly become less humane when they head south versus north.

The American people may also need reminded, after four dark years, that they ordered their government to stand up agencies to do the very enforcement work the people roundly support. That they recruited brave men and women into a Border Patrol that wants nothing more than to resume the job they signed up for. Similarly, that the people also pay for a Customs and Enforcement agency to remove illegal aliens from our cities and towns and return them to theirs.

And the American people will remember. They will remember that enforcing the law is a tough job, but we have brave men and women willing to do it. They’ll remember why we have the laws that we do – to prevent Biden’s infrastructure of misery – the hundreds of different entry points and the chaos and rape and drowned children. That we safely and humanely repatriate people with more care than the outgoing administration ever took.

They’ll remember that their government’s allegiance is to them, and them alone – it isn’t authorized for anything or anyone else. Such was the genius of President Trump’s personal line-editing of the Republican Party platform to put mass deportation in all caps. He understood it was time to remind conservative politicians to start talking much more openly about mass deportation, both to deflate the coming hysteria from the media and inoculate the American people from the Left’s attacks.

And then, in a sure-footed fashion, it will be the people’s turn to do the reminding.

They will be happy to remind the mainstream media at every turn that we have legitimate and legal mechanisms to counter the industrial-scale import of people into our country; that we have antidotes to the widespread criminality of the Democratic Party in their alliance with cartels and anti-American nonprofits, for whom the media has carried so much water.

In doing so, the American people can deflate the hysteria of an exposed and wild-eyed media and resist their malicious attempts at enforcing policy unsupported by a great and soon-to-be-heard majority.
