KENNY CODY: The Democrats' lawfare against RFK Jr. proves they fear him

Kennedy's decision to withdraw from the race and strategically direct his votes to Trump in swing states has had a seismic impact on the 2024 election, significantly favoring President Trump.

On August 23rd, Independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the 2024 Presidential race with a twist. First, on the day he dropped out, Kennedy gave one of the most critical

Kennedy painted himself not as an independent waiver candidate but as a disaffected Democrat whose party had lost its way over the past few decades. Kennedy directly called out the Democratic National Committee for tanking his former bid for the Democratic nomination when he announced he would challenge President Joe Biden and rigging the process for an inauthentic primary, and then crowning a nominee in Vice President Harris after the DNC realized Biden could not win.

Following his withdrawal, Kennedy unveiled a strategic plan for his campaign's future that was nothing short of brilliant. He intended to retain his candidacy in predominantly red or blue states while urging his supporters in swing states to back former President and 2024 Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, preventing a potential Kamala Harris presidency. Kennedy's rationale was evident as the DNC had worked against him and his family, and Trump had also been a victim of political targeting and violence in the lead-up to the election.

In addition, he stated he would not only direct his supporters to support Trump in swing states but also work to remove his name entirely from the ballot in the states that would decide the election, such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and others.

Kennedy's decision to withdraw from the race and strategically direct his votes to Trump in swing states has had a seismic impact on the 2024 election, significantly favoring President Trump. The polling in many key swing states, such as Pennsylvania and Arizona, has shifted back in Trump's favor, and the narrative of a surge for Vice President Harris has all but disappeared. This pivotal moment, following the Democratic National Convention, allowed Trump to reclaim the spotlight and prevent the expected 'convention bump.' Political statistician Nate Silver adjusted his 2024 election forecast to favor Trump slightly due to RFK's endorsement impacting swing states and negatively affecting a convention bump to Harris.

This shift has led to Democrats waging an all-out war to keep Robert Kennedy Jr. on the ballot in the swing states that may swing the election. The problem is, this all comes right after they have been doing the same thing to keep him off the ballot for months, as Kennedy discussed during his dropout speech. While the Democratic National Committee may have initially thought that Kennedy would hurt them in these states because they nominated a far-left progressive that average Democrats would not want to vote for, they now fear that Kennedy's endorsement will direct disaffected independents and Democrats to vote for Trump over Harris.

In the same fashion that Democrats attacked Trump using political lawfare to hurt his electoral viability, they are now coming after Kennedy only after he endorsed President Trump. The GOP should pull out all stops legally, logistically, and optically in calling out the Democratic Party and the Harris/Walz ticket for being vehemently anti-democratic. GOP Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance has already begun to do this, stating," It's ridiculous that RFK has endorsed Donald Trump — he has petitioned to be taken off the Wisconsin ballot — but a bunch of bureaucrats are going to keep his name on the ballot because they think it will hurt Donald Trump."

Vance is stating the obvious, which is precisely what the entire GOP needs to do. The Republican Party and Trump supporters alike all need to unite in calling out this blatant electoral warfare that the Democratic Party is conducting in swing states solely to swing the odds back in their favor headed toward November.

The one common denominator concerning lawfare against political opponents is the Democratic Party. Now that they have witnessed a Trump-Kennedy alliance, they are pulling out all the stops to preserve their election chances.
.
The GOP should work to aid Kennedy in both public perception and his legal battles because unity is the one thing that can hand Trump and the Republicans a victory in November. This alliance is the one thing that Democrats feared the most, and a Harris presidency may be prevented because of it.
