Last night, a devastating shooting outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., left two Israeli Embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, dead. The young couple, reportedly planning their engagement, was gunned down by 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez, a Chicago native who was shouting "free, free Palestine."

According to Washington Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, Rodriguez paced outside the museum before targeting a group of four, firing a handgun, and later confessing inside the venue with the chilling words, "I did it for Gaza." The FBI is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism.

Both of the victims, who were a young couple set to be engaged, died on the scene. Attorney General Pam Bondi personally showed up to the scene, and President Trump has already commented, stating: "These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims. It's so sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!"

This tragedy underscores yet again what has become clear over and over again in recent years. Namely, that the political left, through its rhetoric and permissiveness, has fostered a culture where violence is increasingly seen as a legitimate response to ideological disagreements. In other words, the left wants violence.

They cheer for blood in the streets. Whether it is their celebration of the murder of Luigi Mangione, their calls for assassination that almost led to President Trump's death, their bombing of a fertility clinic in California, or their summer of burning down the country in 2020, the left not only approves of but desires, that opposition to their worldview is met with violence.

The suspect's invocation of "Free Palestine" during the attack perfectly showcases the left's values. When we wake up tomorrow, they will be calling for the same thing that the shooter did as he gunned down a lovely Jewish couple in the heart of our nation. Make no mistake, when the left calls to "free Palestine," They mean to free it from the river to the sea and exterminate the Jewish people.

But more than that, their mottos include calls to "globalize the intifada." What does that mean? It means that wherever there are Jewish people, the Free Palestine movement wants to rise against them. This shooting is not an example of one deranged man. It is the fulfillment of what the left has been chanting in the streets and our universities for years. They have gotten what they asked for and will not apologize.

This is why we, as the right, must do two things. First, we must speak clearly about who they are and where their ideas lead. Like all Marxist revolutionaries before them, their rhetoric that calls for blood is sincere. When they call for riots in the streets, they mean it.

When they say they want Supreme Court justices dead and presidents assassinated, they mean it. When they call for a global intifada that allows bloodshed of Jews in the streets, they mean it. We cannot allow the left and their partners in the media to escape their legacy of violence in our streets. We must say it over and over again, clearly, that this is who we are.

Secondly, we must win. We must be more unrelenting in chasing ballots, knocking on doors, fighting in the midterms, and putting courageous people into office than ever before. We must put up true God-fearing, America First Patriots through the primaries. It is not the time to rest. The next four years are the time to fight like never before.

Please make no mistake; we have them on the run. Now is not the time to back down. It is time to see them for who they are, take back every institution in our country, and wield them against the ideology that leaves innocents lying dead in our streets. We must not let this go. We must fight, and we must win.
