164,000 women break largest Zoom call record to support Kamala Harris for president

A large Zoom meeting titled "White Women: Answer the Call," that was meant to show support and raise money for Kamala Harris for president, had about 164,000 attendees.

The call broke the world record for the largest Zoom call, according to Fox News

Last weekend, President Joe Biden announced that he would not be continuing his 2024 re-election campaign and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 Democratic nomination.

The Zoom call, which took place Thursday, included celebrity guests such as musician Pink, actress Connie Britton and soccer player Megan Rapinoe. The call raised $1.8 million for Harris's campaign, according to the leader on the call, Elizabeth Minnella.

Britton jokingly referred to those on the call as "Karens for Kamala."

The call was inspired after another activist group, "Win With Black Women," held a Zoom call to raise money for Harris's campaign.

Another group called "White Dudes for Harris" is expected to hold a Zoom call next week.
