Annual inflation rate eased slightly in March, Labor Department reports


The country's annual inflation rate eased slightly in March, the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.

The rate, as measured by the bureau's Consumer Price Index, a broad measure of goods and services costs across the U.S. economy, was 2.4% – down 0.1% from February. 

Experts projected the annual inflation rate for March would be 2.6%, according to CNBC
