Anti-Israel demonstrators at Columbia University set up another encampment Friday night at the school during alumni weekend.
The protest consisted of many members of Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine on the university's lawn, according to the New York Post.
Signs that could be seen at the Friday encampment included, “We’re back bit***s" and “Liberated Zone.”
Eventually, the encampment was cleared and Columbia security guards began removing the tents that were set up.
This resulted in participants chanting "shame." The students were demanding that Columbia divest from Israel-associated companies amid the Israel-Hamas war.
“We are aware of the encampment erected this evening and are monitoring the situation. We remain committed to hosting a successful weekend for our alumni,” a university spokesperson told The Post.
Alumni weekend started Thursday and will continue into Sunday morning.
