Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Ben Cardin, D-Md., is set to preside over Prime Minister Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress on Wednesday, according to reports.
Vice President Kamala Harris would normally preside over the address but she reportedly declined to preside since she is going to be traveling.
Harris is expected for a private meeting with Netanyahu while he is in Washington.
President Pro Temp Patty Murray, D-Wash, also passed on the opportunity to preside but a reason has not yet been given.
