Congressman Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said Tuesday that he is pushing for a new criminal referral for first son Hunter Biden. 

"There should be one from both committees, Oversight and Judiciary, and I'm kind of pushing for it behind the scenes," Biggs said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. 

Just the News recently reported that new evidence has been given to Congress disputing Hunter Biden's testimony about his relationship with a controversial securities firm.

The first son testified in February that he was never involved in the Burnham Asset Management firm, which was embroiled in a criminal securities fraud case back in 2016. However, newly-obtained documents show he was in fact working for Burnham during the same time period. 

"Hopefully my team and the Judiciary and Oversight teams will get together and actually make another referral," Biggs said. 

Biggs predicted that Hunter was going to use the excuse that he wasn't under oath when he made those claims. 

"The reality is you can't lie to Congress, and he did," Biggs said. "He did it overtly."
