Ex-CBP chief Morgan calls VP Harris's previous comments on ICE 'vile' and 'reckless'

Former Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said that Vice President Kamala Harris's previous comments on ICE are "vile" and "reckless."

"Her statements have been vile," Morgan said on a Thursday special of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show with AMAC. "They've been reckless. They've been irresponsible. So her tenure as czar ... she absolutely owns that part of the chaos and lawlessness at the border for the past three and a half years."

On Thursday, the GOP-led House passed a resolution "strongly condemning" Harris, now the top 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, for her performance as the border czar.

In March of 2021, Biden announced that Harris would tackle the migration surge, though Symone Sanders, then-chief vice president spokeswoman, the same week insisted Harris was "not doing the border" and had been tasked to "take on the diplomatic effort, with Mexico and countries in the northern triangle to address the root causes of migration."

Customs and Border Patrol figures show that during the Biden administration over 10 million people have come to the U.S. illegally.

In November of 2018, when Harris was a senator, she compared ICE to the KKK, according to Fox News.

"She has doubled down [and] tripled down on supporting President Biden's open border policies," Morgan said. "She cannot separate herself now from this crisis."
