Linda Sun, former deputy chief of staff to New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, was arrested charged on Tuesday with serving as an unregistered agent of the Chinese government, according to federal prosecutors.
Sun has held various posts within New York state government, according to the Associated Press.
Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested at the couple's $3.5 million home located on Long Island.
