Following the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, Harris's campaign called for a second debate in October.

Harris spokesperson Brian Fallon posted on X, "That was fun. Let’s do it again in October," shortly after the end of the Tuesday evening debate hosted by ABC News.

The Harris campaign has to this point declined to commit to a second debate, though Trump has previously stated that he would like three debates with the vice president. 

It is unclear at this time where the debate would be held or what the rules would be.  The ABC debate was threatened by repeated clashes between the Trump and Harris campaigns over whether or not the microphones should be live for the entirety of the debate, though the Harris campaign eventually relented and agreed to muted mics.
