A helicopter crashed and fell into New York City's Hudson River on Thursday, according to multiple news reports.
A search and rescue operation is currently underway, after the helicopter went down near Pier 40, fire officials told the New York Post. Additional information on the crash is not currently clear.
The New York City Fire Department said that four people were on board the chopper, which is now closer to the New Jersey side of the river, per ABC News. All four have been reportedly removed from the river, but it is not clear what condition they are in.
The Coast Guard is among the agencies responding to the crash, and has stopped boat traffic in the area.
