Hunter Biden arrives at Delaware courthouse for jury selection in federal gun case against him

President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden arrived Monday at a Wilmington, Delaware, courthouse for the start of the federal gun case against him.

The proceedings will begin with jury selection. He was accompanied to the courthouse by first lady Jill Biden.

Biden has been charged in Delaware with three felonies in connection with a 2018 firearm purchase while he was using drugs.

He has been accused of lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application used to screen firearms applicants when he said he was not a drug user and illegally having the gun for 11 days, according to the Associated Press. The first son has acknowledged having used drug at that time.

The first son stands trial after a deal between his legal team and federal prosecutor collapsed. He has pleaded not guilty.
