Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his opponent, Edmundo González Urrutia, are both claiming victory in Monday's presidential election.
With 80% of votes tabulated, Maduro stands at 51% to Urrutia's 44%, CNN reported of official results.
Opposition leader María Corina Machado disputed these results, claiming Urrutia received 70% to Maduro's 30%.
"We won, and everyone knows it," Machado said.
Urrutia, at a news conference, alleged election rules were violated. The United States and Venezuala's neighbors have expressed skepticism about the official results.
