Opening statements in Hunter Biden’s gun trial delayed after jurors absent at courthouse

Opening statements in Hunter Biden’s federal trial on gun charges were delayed on Tuesday morning after five jurors didn't make it to the courthouse before the scheduled start time.

The jury of 6 women and 6 men was formally seated on Monday.

According to Judge Maryellen Noreika, a juror emailed the court on Tuesday saying she lived an hour away from the courthouse and didn't have a car.

The judge revealed that she would exempt the individual from jury duty as a result of hardship. The spot would have to be filled by one of the alternatives.

First Lady Jill Biden was spotted at the courthouse again on Tuesday.
