Rep. Biggs says he and other GOP reps are trying to have political Jan. 6 subpoenas rescinded

Congressman Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said that he and other GOP representatives are pushing to get subpoenas rescinded that were given by the Jan. 6 committee.

"I hate to tell the public ... but we are as a patient waiting in the waiting room of an emergency room," Biggs said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "And so we're not sure how much longer it's going to be."

Last month, Biggs and Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Eric Burlison, R-Mo., introduced legislation to rescind subpoenas issued by the Jan. 6 committee.

This would include subpoenas given to Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, both of whom are currently in prison for contempt of Congress.

"@SpeakerJohnson must quickly move our resolution through the House," Biggs wrote on the social media platform, X.

Biggs says that it seems the legislation is being delayed.

"That seems to run the course [in] the Republican Party in Congress," he said.
