Trump to speak in New York on Friday

Former President Donald Trump announced that he will deliver a speech in New York City on Friday morning, after he was convicted by a New York jury on Thursday on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records to a conceal a hush money payment.

The speech will take place at the Trump tower at 11 a.m. ET, according to a news release shared with Just The News. Details on the remarks have not been released so far.

Trump, who also is the 2024 presumptive GOP presidential nominee, now becomes the first U.S. president to be found guilty of felony crimes. He is expected to be sentenced on July 11, but his defense lawyers have claimed they will be appealing the ruling.

"This was a disgrace. This was rigged trial," Trump said shortly after the verdict. He also claimed the real verdict will come during the November election.
