Four former Biden administration officials close to the president have agreed to appear for voluntary, transcribed interviews with the House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation into the alleged cover-up of the former president’s cognitive decline and use of an autopen to sign sweeping commutations and executive actions. 

Former Director of the Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden, former Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the First Lady Anthony Bernal, former Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations Ashley Williams, and former Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff Annie Tomasini have agreed to appear voluntarily for the interviews in late June and early July, a committee aide told Just the News. 

Committee Chairman James Comer sent letters to the ex-staffers in late May asking them to appear before members as part of their probe into the former president's mental decline and the potentially unauthorized use of an autopen for executive actions. 

“The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal. The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf," Comer said in a press release at the time. "Key executive actions signed by autopen, such as sweeping pardons for the Biden Crime Family, must be examined considering President Biden’s diminished capacity."
