Federal Employees Receive Second “What Did You Do Last Week?” DOGE Email
Federal workers across U.S. agencies received an unexpected follow-up email this week from the White House’s DOGE head Elon Musk, titled “What Did You Do Last Week? Part II.”
Sent on Friday evening, the message continued the push under the Department of Government Efficiency initiative, asking employees to detail their weekly accomplishments.
Federal employees just received another email.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love @DOGE pic.twitter.com/6l5WMuZgET
The email instructs employees to describe their accomplishments each week by email in a five-bullet-point format.

This marks the second such communication since DOGE’s launch, following an initial email that triggered leftists into claiming Elon Musk has usurped the government.
The note reflects the administration’s unconventional approach to streamlining government operations.
Musk noted that responding is “mandatory.”
The President has made it clear that this is mandatory for the executive branch.

Anyone working on classified or other sensitive matters is still required to respond if they receive the email, but can simply reply that their work is sensitive. https://t.co/lSyfj8eMzR
During the first cabinet meeting of Trump’s second term, Musk explained the purpose of the original email, noting “I think that email perhaps was misinterpreted as a performance review, but, actually, it was a pulse check review.”
He added, “if you have a pulse and two neurons, you could reply to an email.”
Meanwhile, appearing on an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, Musk charged that the legacy media is encouraging violence against him.
“At this point, I think I’m at the top of the list for a lot of homicidal maniacs,” Musk declared, adding “They’re doing the same thing to me that they did to Trump, which is that they’re making it sound like if you kill me, you’re a hero.”
Describing the actions as “evil,” Musk further noted “I’m the same person that I was a year ago. Nothing’s changed really. Like I didn’t suddenly become a completely different human.”
“But if you read the sort of legacy mainstream media, their propaganda stream is that I am a completely different human,” Musk continued, adding “But I didn’t get like a brain transplant in a year. And let’s say like two years ago, I was like a hero of the left. So how can I go from hero to villain at age 53 suddenly?”
